This Privacy Policy explains how QReative: QR Code Reader (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you use our mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

The short version: QR scanning and code generation happen entirely on your device. We do not run our own servers that store your scans or created codes. The limited data we do process is used to keep the app working, show ads in the free version, and manage subscriptions.

1. Information We Collect

A. Camera and Photo Library

The App requires access to your device’s camera and photo library to function:

Camera: Used to scan QR codes and barcodes directly. Your camera feed is never sent to any server — all scanning is processed locally on your device.
Photo Library: Used to save the QR codes you create, and to scan codes from images already stored in your gallery.

B. Usage & Diagnostic Data

We collect anonymous usage and diagnostic data (such as device type, operating system version, feature interactions, and crash logs) to understand how the App is used and to improve it. This data is not used to personally identify you.

C. Identifiers for Advertising (App Tracking Transparency)

In the free version, we work with advertising partners that may use your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) to show more relevant ads. On first launch, iOS will ask for your permission through the App Tracking Transparency prompt:

If you allow tracking, ads may be personalized using your advertising identifier.
If you do not allow tracking, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized using that identifier.

You can change this choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device.

2. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate the App. These providers process data under their own privacy policies:

Google AdMob — displays advertisements in the free version of the App and may collect data (such as the advertising identifier) to serve and measure ads. See the Google Privacy Policy.
Firebase / Google Analytics — provides anonymous, aggregated analytics and crash reporting so we can improve the App. See the Firebase Privacy & Security information.
RevenueCat — manages our subscription infrastructure and may collect anonymous identifiers to validate your purchase status. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Apple App Store — processes all payments for subscriptions. See the Apple Privacy Policy.

3. Data Storage

Scan History: Your scan history is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to it.
Created QR Codes: QR codes you generate are created and processed on your device.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Payment processing for the “QReative PRO” subscription is handled directly by the Apple App Store. We do not receive or store your credit card information. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed in your Apple ID account settings.

5. Security

We take reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. Because most of your data stays on your device, you can remove it directly by clearing your history in the App or by uninstalling the App. For anything else, contact us using the details below.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
